From craft beer, serene Murray River cruises, markets and custom panel vans the Riverland has it all this Easter!
Visiting the Riverland has been a rite of passage at Easter for decades, people have travelled from near and far to seek out that sweet camp site and gear up for 4 big days watching the world go past. While camping has been the traditional thing to do there’s now a plethora! (Fancy word alert) Of accommodation options to suit everyone.
As well as accommodation to suit the seasoned camper, glamper and luxury accommodation connoisseur there’s also a long list of events to keep everyone happy! Yep, even your great Aunty!
From breakfasts to car shows and even giant pumpkins – the Riverland has it all this Easter so just “hop” on in (bad pun).

Because we’re a friendly bunch here in the Riverland we put on free breakfasts every Easter (yeah I know right nothing is free these days) However this certainly is! This event sees the Service clubs team up to put on one cracking morning in Berri! After you’ve had a free delicious breakfast check out all the markets and displays as a part of the Easter carnival. A Riverland Tradition that’s not to be missed!
Loxton Free Easter Picnic
WHEN: 31st March 18, 2018
East terrace Loxton will be once again alive and kicking this Easter Saturday with breakfast on offer and Loxton’s vibrant shopping precinct open with plenty of nice things to purchase! Plus you may even see the Easter bunny (he’s been known to visit Loxton Easter Saturday) big shout out must go to the Loxton Chamber of commerce for putting this one on! – Great work team!

All aboard the Barrangul for a leisurely 3-hour lunch cruise on Easter Friday, drifting past red gums, sandstone cliffs while savouring flavoursome food prepared fresh on board- only $60 pp including cruise and seafood lunch!
If you can’t make the Friday cruise, Barrangul will also be offering 2-hour dinner cruises on both Easter Saturday and Sunday at 6.30pm, plus an extra 2-hour cruise on Easter Sunday from 12pm. All cruises off a la carte menu with licensed bar options.

Finish your Easter weekend with a Sunset Cruise on Monday 2nd April! Look out for kangaroos coming down to the river for a drink and marvel at the bird life as the day comes to an end. Rivergum Cruises will on the the River Murray, seeing majestic limestone cliffs, wildlife and the tranquillity of the river. Enjoy a local grazing platter on board while seeing the sun set on the Waikerie cliffs downstream and the beauty of the Murray River. Local wines & beers will be available to purchase from our licensed bar along with an assortment of other drinks.
Rivergum Cruises will also be available over Easter Saturday, Sunday & Monday for 1 or 2-hour cruises. Call them to make a booking or tailor a cruise to suit you on board ‘Qatar’ this Easter!

A paddle steamer with significant history that now thankfully thanks to a small crew of DEDICATED volunteers we are able to cruise on! This Paddle steamer is over 100 years old but there’s no slowing it down just yet! Go for a cruise and reminisce of a much different time on the Murray! – Plus while you’re doing that you can enjoy a delicious Devonshire Tea with wood fire baked scones!

You’ve seen those crazy giant vegetable growing competitions in the United States on T.V before yeah? Well see it in Real life this year at the Cadell harvest festival! Growers from near and far hold their giant growing pumpkin secrets very close to their chest! As well as the Giant pumpkins there’s a heap to see and do! – Live music and even some cooking demo’s (Gotta use the pumpkins somewhere) just to name a few things on offer!

First up you can check out the Waikerie Markets Easter Saturday, held on the magnificent civic center lawns with heaps of stalls there’s no excuse. Plus all the amazing market food will be on offer!

Easter Twilight Markets & Open Air Cinema
These markets are so big they move from the main street to the lakefront! Up to 100 craft stalls on offer with a variety to offer, and when we say variety we mean it!
There’s some show rides there plus a heap of food options and the now famous outdoor movie screen is returning with “Paddington” so make an afternoon of it and finish it with a great movie overlooking Lake Bonney – sounds like a winner to us!

WHERE: Riverland field days site – Barmera
Time to check out some amazing pieces of Machinery at the 43rd Australian Van Nationals! Over 100 vans from right across the land will hit the Riverland this Easter with a show & shine on Easter Sunday at the Riverland Field Days site! As well as some Van’s there’s also going to be a good collection of Classic cars as well as hot rods!
So why not check it out, who knows you might see you’re old panel van there? Just remember that 70s panel van stories stay in the 70s! – OK!

Take an afternoon to experience some of the Riverland's most unique wines, share a platter and enjoy the beautiful views of the River Murray while kicking back to incredible music from the 60's & 70's. What more could you ask for on a sunny Riverland afternoon?

So you’re camping by the river or maybe are staying on a houseboat this Easter? The question I have for you is how many breweries can you get to by boat? Well this one you can and it’s pretty good.
As well as the amazing locally produced beverages from beer, cider and hard lemonade there’s some great food options all weekend plus entertainment to match. This one should be on everyone’s Riverland to do list this Easter, unfortunately once you’ve been here once you will want to come back. But that’s totally ok with us.
Also if you’re thinking of spending let’s just say a “bit” of time there take the bus, look up The Amazon Run Shuttle Bus!

Certainly one of the biggest weekends of the year at the lovely presented Caudo vineyard so make the most of it this Easter and go and see what everyone is RAVING about!
There’s some great entertainment and an amazing vibe next to the river just watching the Easter weekend go by having a sangria at the same time – sounds pretty good to me!
If there’s one place that’s fancy and knows how to put on a show it’s got to be 23rd street, they’ve got cocktail nights on Easter weekend plus some AMAZING Riverland inspired food to offer!
You can have a great time, sample some amazing beverages and get a little bit fancy! Its worth it, trust us! We just can’t get enough of what is amazing venue, as well as craft spirits on offer there’s also quite the range of craft beer to keep everyone happy!
