The Riverland is the only place to be for Easter.
Whether you’re camping on the Murray River, enjoying Easter egg hunts with family or friends, or simply enjoying a few days break, the Riverland has so much on offer on the Easter long weekend.
And the Easter Bunny is almost and here which means kids all over the Riverland will soon be on the hunt for Chocolate eggs and Easter bunnies.
Here's a roundup of the major Easter events for happening throughout the Riverland.
Riverland Farmers Market- Easter Saturday Market
You are invited to visit the Riverland Farmers’ Market on Easter Saturday 7:30-11:30am at the Berri Senior Citizens’ Hall. Local producers sell directly to the public, the number and types of food stalls present varying each week depending upon the season. Locally produced craft is also available from a limited number of craft stalls, the number and types of craft stalls varying each week.
The Market has become a popular meeting place for both locals and visitors . A breakfast bar offers a range of locally-produced breakfast food choices and locally-roasted coffee.
Renmark FREE Community Easter Breakfast
Enjoy the FREE Easter Breakfast on the banks of the Murray River in Renmark. Easter eggs, balloons and a Jumping Castle for the kids. Puppet shows will also run at 8:30am and 9:30am.
The Village, Loxton Easter 2016
The everyday lives of the early settlers and their families are depicted in over 45 buildings furnished with thousands of display items. Easter activities will include an Easter egg hunt and The Village Activity book filled with puzzles for all ages.
Cadell Harvest Festival & Giant Pumpkin Competition
Head along and enjoy the Cadell Harvest festival, and Giant Pumpkin Competition Held on the Cadell Town Oval .Easter Saturday from 1pm - 7pm. The jam packed fun filled day includes Orange throwing, Carp tossing, Cockroach racing, Jam and Beer Competitions, Food Stalls and Market Produce. This year cooking demonstrations by Themis & Callum from Sprout at 3.00pm & 4.30pm, all this plus more along with live entertainment. Something for everyone, $4 entry fee and children under 15 FREE!
Berri Lions Easter Carnival & 5RM Breakfast
Something for everyone starting with FREE breakfast at 7am followed by stalls, gymnastic displas, face painting, live music and entertainment on Vaughn Terrace Berri. The Young Riverland Musical Society's production of Beauty and the Beast will also be performed!
Loxton Easter Picnic 2016
Hop into Loxton for an eggcellent time on Easter Saturday! Loxton Chamber of Commerce invite you to a FREE EASTER PICNIC from 10am at the Rotunda lawns, East Terrace. Enjoy Hot Cross Buns, fresh locally grown fruits, tea & coffee, Easter crafts and face painting. Easter Bunny will hop in for a visit, giving Easter Eggs to all the kids! Shops trading until 12.30pm.
PS Industry Easter Steaming
PS Industry will steam Saturday and Sunday over the Easter long weekend. Offering two devonshire tea cruises on both days at 11am and 1:30pm. Bookings Essential through the Renmark Paringa Visitor Information Centre.
Three Wise Women - Three Amazing Vineyards
Celebrate the end of harvest with three wise women who have a deeply held philosophy of sustainable agriculture. Come and taste organic wines made from new and emerging varieties, hosted by Jenny Semmler, Pam Barich and Val Bassham.

Barmera Easter Twilight Markets & Open Air Cinema
The Easter Twilight Markets held on Sargent Park in front of Lake Bonney attracts a huge number of stallholders and visitors alike. There will be loads of entertainment throughout the day, live music, Easter Bunny for the Kids. Following the Markets a giant screen showing a recent release movie provides extra entertainment for the whole family. Bring your chairs and picnic rugs and settle in for a great afternoon and evening of family fun. Fully catered or you can take a picnic .
Cobdogla Steam Museum Easter Open Day
How do you know where you are going if you don't know where you have been? That's the byline at the Cobdogla Irrigation & Steam Museum where we step back in time to see how we lived in days gone by. Experience some bone shaking travel on a steam powered Ploughing Engine or catch the steam hauled train for a ride out among the vineyards. Watch the old engines running or see some sheep being shorn. Marvel at the old tractors which took over from the horses which worked on the fruit blocks and watch a working demonstration or two. In the National Trust building, the photo walls and dioramas depict how the settlement grew from early settlement to the mid 20th century. Discover if a paddlesteamer was a key for a river lock. See how the early settlers went to church on the paddlesteamer Etona and study the history of the World War Two Internment Camps. And watch a DVD on how the irrigation districts were supplied with water when the mighty Humphrey Pump was working.
