The beer and burger bar not to miss!

If you are looking to try something a bit different, you must visit Jarrod and Kylie Loxton’s Here’s Your Beer Burger Bar at Loxton.

Their restored shed restaurant is located on a side street in Loxton and it’s cool hipster vibe feels similar to eating in a boutique bar in Melbourne.

The mis-matched tables and chairs add to the popular hipster feel and Jarrod’s friendly personality and his clear passion for Here’s Your Beer makes you feel as though you are eating in your own family’s backyard.

Walking up to Here’s Your Beer you are greeted with an outdoor seating area with lights and you walk into the shed that is a hive of activity.

From traffic lights flashing and the blackboard paint on the walls, Here’s Your Beer is a location that is perfect for a family meal out, catching up with friends or a way to spend a Sunday afternoon watching the football.

I opted for the burger of the month for May ‘The Humdinger’. It came out on vintage crockery and it was all what I was expecting and more.

The burger itself was very bluntly delicious. It’s burger was subtly moist and was accompanied with bacon, hash brown and onion rings.

The onion rings were crispy and a perfect addition to the burger and the chips weren’t just placed on the plate they were put in a vintage coffee mug which kept with the whole feel of the restaurant.

Here’s Your Beer at Loxton is an experience that you must put on your ‘to-do’ list and is the dream of Jarrod and Kylie Loxton that they are sharing with the world.

The Queen continues to rule at Berri

The Queen’s Kitchen, operating from the Berri Club, offers a variety of menu options that keep in line with the restaurant’s authentic Thai roots, but it has also expanded its range of dishes on offer that Chef Sean has created.

The restaurant’s menu continues to provide the Riverland with an authentic Thai experience, while also incorporating a modern infusion to its menu.

The restaurant’s large open dining room is inviting and welcoming.

We were promptly seated and served when we arrived and the table service was a welcome surprise as it is a service that isn’t offered in many restaurants around the Riverland.

Instead of opting for my usual favourite dish, I branched out and tried the pork belly and barramundi salad, which was from The Queen’s new modern Thai menu options.

The menu offers a variety of dishes that would please anybody from delicate and delicious starters, to its authentic and modern Thai main options.

Chef Sean’s specialities include a variety of seafood options from mussels, Atlantic salmon and soft shell crab to offering more original Thai options including stir-fry and curries.

Despite the dining room filling up with hungry patrons, food was filing out of the kitchen in a routine fashion.

The staff at the Berri Club offered the same prompt service as The Queen’s Kitchen staff and offered a variety of local Riverland wines.

The atmosphere at The Queen’s Kitchen is lively and enjoyable and is suitable for families, couples or group functions.

The Queen’s Kitchen continues to uphold its favourable reputation of offering high quality food and service.
