The Riverland has peaceful campsites and National Parks. Free sites are along red gum-lined creeks and river banks that stretch for thousands of kilometres.
Riverland parks represent some of the most visually spectacular and environmentally important areas in the South Australian Murray-Darling Basin.
The Riverland is a ‘twitchers’ paradise, the network of National Parks and protected wetlands mean there is always an abundance of birdlife.
With an extensive network of National Parks and unspoilt wilderness the region is home to a large number of different native animals (fauna).
