Berri Golf Course

Berri Golf Club is on the edge of the town, set amongst natural mallee trees with complementary native plantings.

The Berri Golf Club was established in 1924 making it one of country South Australia’s oldest clubs. The current course was designed after WW2 on gently rolling hills located near the heart of the town of Berri in the centre of the Riverland. The fairways and greens are fully irrigated providing ideal playing conditions. At 6070m, par 71, slope 116 for men and 5262m, par 73, slope 116 for the ladies it is a good test of skill for visiting golfers. The course is picturesque and features wildlife with kangaroos and emus frequenting the front 8 especially.

The greens are a mixture of bent, cobra and pennlink grasses giving an excellent surface. Most fairway are a blend of couch, Kentucky blue and fescue but in recent times some have been converted to santa anna which thrives in the conditions.

The modern clubhouse facilities, Big River Tavern, provides meals lunch and dinner with bar facilities and gaming 7 days a week. The Big River Motor Inn,  Berri Resort Hotel and Berri Caravan Park provide excellent accommodation and resort facilities on the course and in the town centre.

Golfers and holiday makers are most welcome all year round with club hire, cart hire and golf accessories available from the Motel, Tavern or Golf Shop. Bookings are not generally needed but will ensure availability of carts and tee times. Excellent bar facilities, meals, gaming and golf carts are available seven days a week.
